In a significant development for the region’s infrastructure and water resource management, a Consultant, Teamwork Global Associates, engaged by the Benue ACReSAL Project for Consultancy Services for Engineering Designs and Supervision of Rehabilitation, Desilting/Expansion of Adoka – Icho Community Dam, Otukpo LGA, Naka Earth Dam, Gwer West LGA in Benue State has presented its comprehensive Feasibility and Conceptual Design Report on the Naka and Adoka-Icho Dams at the Benue ACReSAL Project office.

The presentation outlined the technical and environmental assessments conducted for both dam projects, which are expected to bolster local water supply, enhance agricultural productivity, and support flood control initiatives in the Benue region.






The presentation also provided insights into the potential economic advantages, including job creation and improved irrigation facilities, which are crucial for the predominantly agricultural communities surrounding the dams, especially Naka dam.











The findings of the feasibility report are expected to inform further planning and intervention decisions as the ACReSAL Project moves forward with its water resource management agenda. The Naka and Adoka-Icho Dams project is poised to transform the local landscape and improve the quality of life for countless residents in Benue State, marking a significant leap toward a resilient and sustainable future.
