Websites are platforms through which individuals, businesses, and organizations communicate with the general public. In this era of internet services, having an online presence gives the owners channels of interaction with their target audience and is also a means of getting feedback from people. Other uses of a website are: Delivering information, entertainment, or services to users through a web browser; Selling products and services online; Posting and finding information on the Web; Gaining knowledge and learning new skills; Communicating with each other and building social networks; Having fun and playing games online; Expanding markets and outdoing competitors; Providing customer service and consumer insight; and Creating an online presence and identity.
Benue ACReSAL had engaged the services of Jim Global Consulting Limited for the design and hosting of an interactive website for the State Project Office and having completed the job, the consultant came to Benue ACReSAL office to make an official presentation of the website to the SPMU before launching it for public use. The State Project Coordinator, Bldr. Victor Ama expressed satisfaction with the work done so far and also thanked the members of the SPMU who made their contributions to the content on the website as it was state-specific. The Consulting firm represented by Mr. Henry A. Rolands and Mr. Kayode Benson Esho guided the SPMU members through the website’s navigation. This was followed by a training of some SMPU staff that would be handling the Project Website.
