FPMU ASSESSES ACReSAL IMPACT ON BENUE MINISTRIES

A consultant, African Center for Peace & Human Dignity, engaged by the Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU), concluded an assessment of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project’s impact in line ministries within Benue State.

The FPMU delegation, led by Engineer Adamu, visited the Benue ACReSAL State Project Management Unit (SPMU), headed by State Project Coordinator, Bldr. Victor Ama, to conduct the evaluation.

The assessment is part of an ongoing institutional strengthening initiative spearheaded by the Benue ACReSAL SPMU. The team toured the Ministries of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change, and Agriculture and Food Security, examining the positive changes and advancements resulting from the ACReSAL project’s interventions in these crucial sectors.

They were given a comprehensive walk-through of the facilities, witnessing firsthand the positive transformations resulting from the ACReSAL Project’s interventions. The interventions focused primarily on enhancing staff working conditions and creating a more conducive working environment within these crucial ministries.

During the visits, officials showcased the significant improvements and transformations the ministries have undergone thanks to the ACReSAL project’s intervention.

The project aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of these ministries in addressing the challenges of agro-climatic resilience and promoting sustainable development in the region. Further details on the consultant’s findings are expected to be released following the completion of the assessment.
