BENUE ACReSAL SPC LAUDS GOV. ALIA FOR SUPPORT OF THE ACReSAL PROJECT AND ITS IMPACT ON COMMUNITIES

The State Project Coordinator (SPC) for Benue ACReSAL Project, Bldr. Victor Ama has expressed gratitude to Governor Hyacinth Alia for his steadfast support of the project.

Ama gave the expression today when featured on Radio Benue’s audience participation programme, On-The-Line.

He highlighted the governor’s crucial role in facilitating the project’s access to World Bank loans through timely payment of counterpart funding, which has been essential for the successful execution of various activities across the state.

The State Project Coordinator commended Governor Alia for fostering an enabling environment that encourages progress, emphasizing the governor’s noninterference in the project’s operations. This approach has allowed the ACReSAL Project to function more effectively and achieve significant milestones in its quest to uplift local communities.

During the broadcast, the SPC detailed several impactful initiatives undertaken by the ACReSAL Project, showcasing its contributions to community development. Key achievements include extensive afforestation efforts, the provision of boreholes to ensure access to clean water, and the establishment of rainwater harvesting structures.

According to the SPC, the project has also made strides in empowering local communities by offering Community Revolving Funds to Community Interest Groups, distributing climate-smart agricultural inputs, and providing livelihood materials to vulnerable populations.

The programme’s phone-in segment witnessed an outpouring of appreciation from listeners, many of whom called in to commend the positive changes brought about by the ACReSAL Project in their communities.
