The Benue State Project Coordinator of Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL), Bldr. Victor Ama, today granted audience to members of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU), Radio Benue Chapter, who were in his office for a courtesy visit.

Bldr. Ama expressed his appreciation for the visit and welcomed the opportunity to partner with RATTAWU. He acknowledged the crucial role the media play in disseminating information and ensuring public awareness of development initiatives and assured the union members of ACReSAL’s commitment to transparency and collaboration, paving the way for a fruitful partnership to amplify the project’s message and reach a wider audience.

Bldr. Ama disclosed that Benue ACReSAL, on the directive of Governor Hyacinth Alia, is already working with the Director General of Radio Benue to find lasting solutions to the station’s power and water supply problems.
Earlier, the leader of the RATTAWU delegation, chairman, Mr. Peter Asegh, assured of the Union’s support for the ACReSAL project and a desire to collaborate in promoting its activities within the state. Mr. Asegh emphasized the importance of effectively communicating the project’s goals and achievements to the public. “Our visit is to show solidarity with the ACReSAL project and explore avenues for partnership,” Mr. Asegh stated. “We believe that by working together, we can effectively highlight the positive impact the project is having on communities across Benue State.”

The meeting signals a significant step towards enhanced public understanding and support for the ACReSAL project in Benue State, ultimately contributing to its success in building resilience to climate change and improving livelihoods in the state.
