The Project Coordinator of ACReSAL in Benue State, Bldr. Victor Ama held a meeting with the State Steering Committee of ACReSAL at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change. The Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change -the host ministry of the ACReSAL Project in the state – who is the Chairman of the State Steering Committee was in attendance while his counterpart from the State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources Prof. Moses Ogbaji – the co-chairman of the project – was represented by Mr Naths Adzuu, the Covering Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Other members present were drawn from relevant MDAs as stipulated in the ACReSAL Project Implementation Manual (PIM).
Bldr. Victor Ama took the time to welcome new members to the committee especially the Commissioners who were attending the State Steering meeting for the first since being sworn in. The SPC gave the attendees a brief rundown of the progress of the ACReSAL Project since inception and further handed them each a copy of the Work Plan of the Project. The Project Coordinator proceeded to distribute laptops to members of the State Steering Committee for their use, especially in project-related activities. The Presentation was done by Hon. Odoh Ugwu the Chairman of the State Steering Committee. Bldr. Victor Ama presented a projector and screen to the Honourable Commissioner of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change. Other items distributed by the SPC include Printed copies of the Project Implementation Manual (PIM), Project Appraisal Document (PAD), and Printed copies of the Project Work Plan.
Bldr. Victor Ama also solicited their support in helping ACReSAL achieve its objectives. The SPC expressed the willingness of the ACReSAL Project Team to collaborate with relevant stakeholders on matters related to the goals of the Project. The Honourable Commissioner of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Hon. Odoh Ugwu on behalf of those present thanked the SPC for the items distributed to them and assured him that they would study the PIM and PAD carefully and they would make relevant inputs in the Work Plan.
