The Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Hybrid Implementation Support Mission is gaining traction in Benue State, aiming to bolster the project’s impact on the region.

The Task Team Leader of the ACReSAL project and Senior Environmental Specialist World Bank, in her remarks, commended the National Project Coordinator, Abdulhamid Umar for his “exceptional and exemplary leadership,” and highlighted the mission’s purpose of providing support to the ACReSAL Project in Benue State.



She thanked the Benue ACReSAL Project Management Unit, led by Bldr Victor Ama, for their warm reception and the successes already achieved in the state.






In his remarks, the National Project Coordinator of the ACReSAL project, Abdulhamid Umar, stated that the objectives of the mission were basically to review the implementation efforts, success stories, and resolve bottlenecks.
The State Project Coordinator, in his presentation, outlined commendable interventions the project has carried out across Benue.





The mission aims to further enhance these efforts and ensure the project achieves its objectives of building resilience to climate change in agricultural landscapes. The event was further strengthened by the presence of key state officials, including the Honourable Commissioner of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Hon. Ugwu Odoh, and the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr. Akaa Nyam, demonstrating the Benue State government’s commitment to the ACReSAL project and its goals
