THE STATE PROJECT COORDINATOR DISTRIBUTED LAPTOPS TO STATE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE MEMBERS DURING A MEETING AT THE CONFERENCE HALL OF THE STATE MINISTRY OF WATER RESOURCES, ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE

At a meeting with the State Technical Committee, The Project Coordinator of ACReSAL in Benue State, Bldr. Victor Ama presented a work plan for the project and explained its meaning and content to the attendees. According to the SPC, a work plan is a written document that outlines the goals, objectives, tasks, and responsibilities for a specific project. It serves as an action plan that helps project teams achieve their desired goals. The SPC reiterated his request for the submission of proposed projects from the various departments and ministries to be included in the work plan to be submitted to the World Bank for clearance.

Bldr. Victor Ama reminded the Technical Committee members of the objectives of the ACReSAL Project. He explained that the projects ACReSAL intends to execute must be environmental, agricultural, and livelihood-of-people-based, hence the need for viable and sustainable projects that will help cushion the impact of Climate Change and encourage sustainable landscape management practices. Bldr. Victor Ama then presented the laptops to the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Alhaji Efu Ali Suleiman for onward distribution to the members of the State Technical Committee.

The Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Alhaji Efu Ali Suleiman informed members of the Technical Committee that because resources are limited, proposed projects should target areas that would have the most impact on the people, environment, and ACReSAL Project. Engr. Sunday Okpabi Ibu added to what the Permanent Secretary said by advising the committee members to harmonize all proposed projects in their respective ministries instead of each member proposing separate projects that may overlap or appear in that of others.
